We were in the market for a top breeding
prospect, so we sent our friend and trainer, David Fields to Texas
to look at some stallions. After looking at several, he
recommended Masterpiece By Dumas to us. He was at Double
Diamond Farms in Crockett Texas, being shown by Don Crum.
I'll never forget David's excitement when he saw Dumas. He
called me up and said this is the one! We had purchased
Critic's April Storm, and were
planning a trip to Texas anyway, so we went a little farther south
to Crockett. We were really pleased with David's selection,
we were impressed with his conformation, disposition, and gait,
everything we wanted in one package. We brought him home and
placed him in training with David for two years.

|
In those two years, he accomplished a lot.
-
In 2001, he was Show Three Year Old High
Point, and Show Open Specialty High Point in both Washington and
Oregon.
-
In 2002, he was High Point Reserve Champion
Open Horse and Amateur Specialty High Point Champion.

After two years of enjoying him in the show
ring, we decided it was time to bring Dumas home for our breeding
program. He is currently on plantation shoes, and walking
well. We are planning on showing him at some of the Montana
shows, and possibly on the West Coast - amateur owned and
trained.
|
Masterpiece By Dumas also offers a very
impressive roster of champions on his pedigree, including seven
World Grand Champions, and some of the most famous horses in
Walking Horse history. Masterpiece By Dumas has the necessary
bloodlines to be a great asset to the Tennessee Walking Horse
breeding industry. Please click on the thumbnails or
the blue links in the pedigree for more information on these great
horses who could be on YOUR foal's pedigree.
