We spend a lot of time
with our horses. They are more like part of the family. As
babies they are imprinted and touched on a daily basis.
Halter breaking begins at about 6-8 weeks old as when you
A-I your mares, you have to handle them early.
Starting the young horses under saddle usually depends on the
horse - some are ready before others. We like to start them
with a saddle on their back early when they are two, followed by
ground driving and eventually riding.
Nutrition is very
important to us. We feed our mares and foals all the hay
they can eat and supplement with grain and vitamins. We also
vaccinate and worm regularly, so our foals can get the best start
possible.
